The brainchild of Kate LeMessurier, gurragawee was established in 2007 to provide
a unique environment for people to experience the fun of artistic expression while
enjoying a break away from the chaos of modern life.

Located in Brooklet in the subtropical Byron Bay hinterland just 10 minutes from
Bangalow, gurragawee offers a variety of packages, services and facilities to
small groups or individuals. Bringing together vintage charm and contemporary
design, gurragawee is a joyous and peaceful venue with a purpose built art
studio, resort-style accommodation and some of the region's most inspiring
scenery.

gurragawee's artstays and creative workshops foster an extraordinarily friendly
atmosphere, where participants are free to share their enthusiasm for the arts
